The Day was perfect. Racers were gathering in the cool morning breeze. People had the look of awe on their faces. We were at PBIR and it was fabulous.

Opening day at a brand new track, how can you beat that. I have personally never experienced it; what a great thing it was. Everyone had a smile on their face & could not wait to see the racing start. It looked like the old days with trailers out to Pratt Whitney on Beeline Hwy. Spectators were rolling in in large groups, looking left, right, up & down in amazement of how the same property they were at not long ago changed so dramatically.

Show cars rolled in by the dozens to the tune of approx. 300 of all makes & models. The show was on the brand new road coarse which you can see from the stands at the dragstrip. The stands that go down to half track. Lighting is unbelievable, night racing is going to be great.8am 'til 6pm with no situations that could not be fixed by the many employees that were there to help.

Smiling faces & great races. Congratulations to everyone that put this fabulous show on...

"Big Daddy" Don Garlits http://www.garlits.com, and the artist David Chapple (with his wife Noonie), owners of http://www.autoart.com) autograph posters sold to spectators and participants in attendance at the event.

Prints are still available, all money received for posters will go to Place of Hope (for children), West Palm Beach, Florida.

Now we have joined our efforts once again to honor the drag racers of the day...we will see you on the track.
