FORD DRAG TEAM publication now available!
Noted Ford historian and veteran drag-racing author Charles R. Morris has written the absolute book covering the members of the Ford Drag Council and Drag Team from 1962 to 1972 conceivably the most significant period in Ford Motor Company's storied performance history.
Morris, during the writing of Ford Drag Team, interviewed many of the original Ford drag racing legends like Phil Bonner, Hubert Platt, Ed Terry, Randy Payne, Al Joniec, the late Bill Lawton, Drag Team captain Dick Brannan, and more. Morris also unruffled factory documents, race reports, photos and statistics to document the full story of these drag racing pioneers.
Ford Drag Team is probably the most definitive piece ever put together to hear what truly happened from those who made the history from behind the wheel and behind the scenes. You’ll learn how this talented group of individuals from diverse backgrounds came together to form one of the most successful factory-backed racing teams in motorsports history.
The 212 page publication is available for $19.95 through STANCE & SPEED or AMAZON.com website. Morris has also written and published a variety of books on Ford performance vehicles from the 1960's. (11/18/11)
