New York National Raceway located in Center Moriches was probably the most storied of the three tracks hosting a variety of national type events like the Super Stock and Drag Illustrated Magazine Nationals and many Funny Car and Gasser events. The track also received the most notoriety due to the fact that at the time of construction was state-of-the art, plus four lane race surface. The track closed in the mid-80.
