Dickie Estavez recieves 2019 Drag Race Hall of Fame honors.....

Dickie Estavez was presented his plaque from DRHOF' Harry LaPlatte last night during the weekly gathering at Marco DeCearis' "MARCO'S GARAGE", part of the American Racing Performance Museum in Lothain, MD. (phone 240-375-4329).

Dickie a longtime racer was hurt in a fall last year at Maryland International Raceway, while assisting with some scoreboard repair. (7/17/19)

Tony Feil inductee 2019................................
Tony Feil an outstanding individual, engine builder, and racer wrhom passed away in June 2018, was slated to be inducted into the DRHOF for 2019 for his accomplishments in racing and engine building since the 1960's (2/09/2019)
Malcolm Durham makes way to 2019 Inductee list...................
In the 1960's, Malcolm Durham became one of the most sought after match racers for drag racing because of his ability to eclipse the 200MPH barrier in a quarter mile. He and his infamous "Strip Blazer" race car would be paid upwards of $800 an appearance. In 2001, during the NHRA's 50th Anniversary, Malcolm was recognized as one of the 50 greatest drag racers in NHRA history!
Astoria Charles Snyder added to 2019 Inductee list.............
Charles Snyder, better known as "Astoria Charles" built this 1967 L88 Corvette to compete in the A/Sports Category back in 1968. Unfortunately just after he was drafted into the Army in1968 and sent to Vietnam. He was there just over a month when he killed in August 1968.His friends then campaigned the car knowing how mucvh he loved drag racing, where they sey the A/Sp record! the car ran with the support of Joel Rosen, Baldwin Chevrolet and Cars magazine.
2019 DRHOF.com Inductee committee working on Inductees..................
The Inductee Committee is working deligently on the new members for 2019 of the DragRaceHallofFame.com. Early selections include Tritak and Morgan from New Jersey, whom were terrors in the NED Division 1 Stock and Super Stock classes in the late 1960's and 70's, longtime Ford match racer Dickie Estavez and his "Daddy Warbucks" Falcon, Skip Asay an eastcoast Jr Stock racer ran a 1957 Chevroletand Al Vanderwoude, known as the "Flying Dutchman". We still have several other names to complete our research and will be listing them shortly. (12/10/18)
